A quick story through pictures of my first trip to try my luck below Denison Dam at Texoma.
While not perhaps the ideal fish vehicle, it sure gets you there quickly…
The Fly. The Structure.
Don’t try this at home. Unless you’re crazy, like me.
Nice female white bass, first fish.
My first Texoma striper.
A river carpsucker, I believe. Carpoides carpio
Line-sider
Pylodictus olivaris
A biiiiig grasser, cruising. (Ctenopharyngodon idella)
Lepomis cyanellus – the Mean Greenie
High water mark; this area is due a good cleanup. I picked up what I could.
Fossils rock.
No big ones, but I ended the day with 12 young striper, 1 nice white bass, and one brave greenie. Not too bad. Looking forward to going back and tangling with a bigger fish; perhaps night fishing is the ticket... hmmm...
